What will I use the Talenscio portal for?

You will need to access the portal for the entirety of your virtual assessment centre as it will contain all of the information and links required to complete the activities.

We recommend logging in at least 10 minutes early to give yourself time to view your agenda, and the profiles of the assessors who will be involved in your day.

The employer has asked me to upload a headshot and my CV to my account. How do I do this?

Once you have received your account login details, please sign into your account – if this is the first time logging in you will need to authenticate your account.

After successfully logging in, click on the ‘profile’ icon, top right of your screen.

You will be taken to your profile where you will see the option to add/update additional information such as a headshot, a bio and your personal information.

To upload your CV, or any requested documents, click ‘My Centres’ and select the centre you wish to upload to.

If enabled, you will see an ‘Upload Documents’ link top right, just under the profile and chat icons.

Select Upload Document, then follow the on-screen instructions to upload requested files.

I see a message to ‘Allow access to my camera and microphone’, how do I do this?

When you first access your video, you are likely to see a pop-up in the URL address bar at the top of your screen.

This will ask for you to give permission to your microphone and camera. If this doesn’t happen, you can manually override it to ensure that they work.

If you’d like further support, please use the chat to technical support link, bottom left of your screen, and one of the Talenscio team will be able to provide support.

How do I test my camera and microphone?

As you click to join your first virtual room you will be taken to a pre-call screen, which will allow you to test your camera and microphone.

Once you are happy with this, you can click to continue to join the video call.

On assessment centres, there may also be a Camera/Mic Test tab on your home screen.

What Internet browser should I use?

Talenscio works with all internet browsers, but we recommend using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.

How to Login

To access the portal, you can click the login link in the email sent to you from the assessing company or the welcome email from the Talenscio platform.

Alternatively, you can access the login page directly from: https://app.talenscio.net

The first time you log in, you will be asked to enter an authorisation code. This code is specific to the device that you are using, therefore if you use an alternative device on the day, you will be required to enter a new code. This will be sent via SMS if your phone details are stored in the portal, if they aren’t it will be emailed to you.

Assessment Centres: Unless informed otherwise by the employer, you will receive your portal login details via email and SMS at least 48 hours prior to your virtual assessment centre.

If you will be using the same device on the day of your virtual assessment centre or interview, we recommend checking the box ‘Remember me for 7 days’ to avoid having to re-authenticate.

When should I login for an assessment centre?

If the employer has requested for you to upload additional information prior to your assessment day (e.g. a headshot and your CV), we recommend logging into your portal as soon as possible after receiving your login details to do so.

Once you have completed this, please log in to your account again the day before your virtual assessment centre to utilise the test centre to check that your camera and microphone are working.

If you haven’t been requested to upload any information prior to your assessment day then we recommend logging into Talenscio the day before your virtual assessment centre to familiarise yourself with the portal and access your test centre to check your camera and microphone.

Please note: your actual virtual assessment centre and agenda may not appear on your account until the day of the centre (dependant on employer settings for the centre).

The icon to join a video call in a room appears from 0 to 30 minutes before the schedule room start time (default is 15 minutes). Check the ‘Welcome’ or ‘How to Use Talenscio’ page for a specific centre.

An assessment centre (or assessment day) is a combination of tasks and activities that test suitability for a job.
